Woman Charged In Connection With COTA Bus Shooting

Police arrested a woman in connection with a shooting involving a COTA bus.

Keniece Wyche, 22, is charged with tampering with evidence. Detectives said she disposed of evidence at the crime scene on North 4th Street in North Columbus on April 16.

Bullets struck the COTA bus as it was traveling northbound on North 4th Street at East 5th Street.

A passenger on the bus was struck in the face. Police said a bullet hit Amy Develvis, 39, in the eye. Another passenger held pressure to her face until help arrived.

Police sought a red Chevy Impala that is seen near the bus when the shooting occurred.

No one else has been arrested.

Details on the evidence Wyche is accused of disposing of was not provided.
