The Ohio State Highway Patrol said it found marijuana-laced treats in a vehicle stopped Wednesday morning.

Troopers pulled over a Chrysler Voyager for speeding on the Ohio Turnpike in Trumbull County.

Authorities said the driver admitted to having drug paraphernalia, so the van was searched.

A cooler was discovered with plastic bags containing 2.5 pounds of marijuana.

The items included four marijuana-laced candy bars and three marijuana bonbons.

Andrew M. Ernewein, 29, and Rachel K. Ernewein, 20, of Jamestown, N.Y., were both charged with marijuana possession, a third-degree felony.
