The man who was held captive by two Columbus brothers Wednesday is safe.
Dwayne Johnston was held up by D’Anthony and William Richardson at his home on Perdue Avenue.
Johnston said he was outside and on the phone with his uncle when the two men approached him with a gun.
“I told him, I said 'Man call the police I about to get robbed,'” Johnston said.
He said the men took him inside, sat him down and made him take off his pants so he couldn’t run.
“I told them, you know, I’m in between checks,” Johnston said. “What you see here is what you get.”
The brothers started gathering electronics from the home when the SWAT team arrived.
“He ran to the back of the house and when he ran to the back of the house, that’s when I simply walked out the front of the house and locked the door,” Johnston said.
He said he knew they were locked in because the back door was closed off.
SWAT teams captured one suspect escaping through a window.
The other one stayed barricaded in a home for several hours and finally came out after tear gas was fired inside.
Both men are being held on $200,000 bond.
