UPDATED: Wednesday May 8, 2013 12:53 PM

A mother of an elementary school student in the Groveport Madison School District is accused of prompting a Level 2 lockdown.

According to court documents, Charna R. Maben is charged with inducing panic for allegedly threatening to go to her son’s school, Asbury Elementary School, located at 5127 Harbor Blvd., with multiple weapons to “take care of an incident with her son.”

Police said that Maben’s actions interfered with school operations and activities.

According to Maben's public defender, the woman's son is suspended from school, and Maben said that she was not notified.

The alleged threat occurred over the phone, he said.

She was jailed on $100,000 bond on Wednesday.
