Officials Investigating Whether Alcohol Was Factor In Serious Head-On Crash

A driver suffered life-threatening injuries on Tuesday after being struck head on by another vehicle.

According to the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, a vehicle traveling westbound on Refugee Road, west of Noe Bixby Road, crossed the double yellow lines and hit an SUV head on.

The driver of the westbound vehicle was ejected and was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the SUV did not report any injuries.

Alcohol may be a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation.

The names of those involved were not immediately released, pending the notification of family members.
