Thieves Break In To A German Village Restaurant

Thieves broke in to a German Village restaurant overnight.

Police said three people were walking down south High Street around 3:00 a.m. Monday when they saw a man walking out a smashed front door off the First Watch, located at 496 South High Street.

They said they yelled at the man who was carrying a cash register. The man dropped the register and took off.

The witnesses were able to flag down police, who arrested the suspect a short time later along 4th street.

Firefighters were at the scene, taping up the front door.

Police were waiting on the restaurant owners to survey the scene. No word on what was taken from the restaurant.
