UPDATED: Tuesday April 30, 2013 11:36 AM

Three men accused of breaking into a home, demanding money and leading police on a chase appeared in court on Tuesday.

Jazzjuan D. Moore, Fred Diggs and Josias Smith are charged with aggravated robbery.

According to court documents, the three men visited a house in the 5600 block of Beechcroft Road Monday afternoon and claimed that they were meat salesmen.

Smith then allegedly confronted a woman, who was home with her 3-year-old child, pointed a gun at her and demanded money.

The woman surrendered two 5-gallon jugs of cash. The men at some point fired a gun into the floor.

The three then led police on a chase that ended along Marland Drive.

Court documents stated that Moore and Diggs bailed from the vehicle and led police on a manhunt. Smith remained in the vehicle and was arrested.

The two others were arrested a short time later.

Six area schools were placed on lockdown during the manhunt.

Police said that Smith confessed to his portion in the robbery.

Documents stated that both Diggs and Moore provided conflicting statements and did not mention the robbery.
