UPDATED: Tuesday April 30, 2013 12:05 AM

Reynoldsburg Police charged a van driver after he drove into the side of a home Monday evening.

The impact damaged the side of the garage at the home in the 1700 hundred block of Rosehill Road in Reynoldsburg.

Police said the wall moved about 8 inches. It was unclear if the home was safe to live in, so the Red Cross was called in to assist the homeowner.

The homeowner told 10TV's Justin Moss she and her dog were inside the van struck the home around 8:45 p.m. They were not injured.

An engineer will inspect the home on Tuesday.

The driver of the van was charged with OVI and failure to control. He suffered a minor injury to his shoulder.
