Dublin Students Remember Teacher Who Died at School

It's hard to forget a teacher, students say, who was known for his suspenders and flannel shirts. But Christopher Bolles was known for much more than that. Students and colleagues say he had a passion for teaching.

"He would smile and ask me how am I doing? How's your day been? He's just a caring person overall," said Dublin Jerome High School student Mahalakshmi Srinivasan.

Bolles died Wednesday after collapsing at the school in the morning. Medics rushed there after Bolles was reported in cardiac arrest.

Students came to school the next day dressed in red for heart disease awareness.

Thursday night, a crowd of students, staff and parents came together at Dublin Jerome for a vigil.

"It's another one of those visual reminders of how precious life is, and how we really have to cherish the people we have with us," said prinicpal Cathy Sankey.

A service for Bolles, who was 62 years old, is planned for Sunday.
