West Muskingum Local Schools said it received a second threatening letter sent to the West Muskingum Middle School.
The letter received on Thursday threatened eight specific students. Parents of the students were notified.
The middle school also received a letter in the mail on Wednesday.
The district is in contact with the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office. The district said after consulting with the sheriff it will keep all afterschool activities in place as scheduled Thursday night.
Officials said the district remains on high alert, but the sheriff’s office determined students are safe at school.
No arrested have been made.
