Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman tweeted support to a Bishop Watterson teacher that lost her job over her sexual orientation.
Carla Hale was fired by the school after her partner’s name appeared in her mother’s obituary.
“I don't think I'm immoral, I don't think I've done anything that's unethical,” Hale told 10TV earlier this week.
On Thursday, the following tweet was sent from Coleman’s account:
“I stand with Carla Hale. No one in Columbus or in the United States should be denied employment because of their choice of who to love.”
Hale has filed a grievance with the school over her dismissal and is awaiting word on that outcome.
