A Galion High School student who brought a hunting knife and ammunition to school will be allowed to come back to return to school next week.
The 17 year old faced expulsion, but the superintendent said a hearing helped her determine that the student intended no harm.
The teen told police he had been shooting with his grandfather and forgot to take the items out of his book bag.
The superintendent said she agrees it was all an accident, and she will allow the student to return to class beginning next week.
