Marathon Runners Return To Ohio After Bombings

Dozens of runners who participated in Monday's Boston Marathon returned to Ohio on Tuesday.

Travelers donned in their marathon gear had somber looks on their faces as they claimed their baggage at Port Columbus International Airport.

Jason and Meghan Cromley say they were anxious to get home to their children.

Jason says he finished the marathon about an hour before the chaos, and he was in the shower at a hotel just steps from where the first explosion happened.

His wife says they were evacuated from the hotel and stayed elsewhere last night.

She says she was so proud of her husband and other runners and is still stunned with what they witnessed.

"It's such an amazing experience to be able to get to Boston and to qualify for such an elite race," said Meghan Cromley. "For someone to take away that special moment for everyone it's just heartbreaking and just to see on the news how much devastation, it was it's awful."

This is the seventh Boston Marathon for Tim Wheeler,

"It's a hollow accomplishment, like you accomplish something but with everything else going on it just takes away the gratification. I just feel for the families," he said with tears in his eyes.
