Students at Teays Valley West Middle School were evacuated Tuesday afternoon due to a threat, according to administrators.
Officials said there was a threat in a classroom that caused them to remove students from the building on Grove Run Road shortly after noon.
The students were being kept outside of the building in Pickaway County until police could search the area.
The students were not being released early to parents. Administrators were planning to dismiss at the regular time.
The details about the threat were not immediately released.
No more information about the threat has been released other than that a written note was found.
Teays Valley High School was evacuated last week due to a threat found written in a bathroom.
