Columbus Police and officials at Ridgeview Middle School were investigating after two middle schoolers allegedly made a "kill list" that included other students' names.
School officials sent a letter home to parents on Wednesday about the safety concern.
A police report indicated that teachers heard the rumors of the list before Spring Break, two weeks ago.
After the break, other students went to school administrators with concerns, according to a police report.
The administrators approached the student and found the notebook that had the words "Kill List" and a number of names.
The student who made the list, along with another student who was involved, was suspended.
Authorities said that the students were searched and nothing of else of concern was discovered by authorities.
