Woman Dies Nearly 2 Months After Being Shot In Parking Lot Of Mormon Temple

A woman who was allegedly shot by her husband died Wednesday night.

According to Columbus police, 33-year-old Soth Sin was shot by her husband, Sokkha Chant, in the parking lot of the Columbus Ohio Temple, a Mormon temple, located on Gateway Boulevard in west Columbus on Feb. 26.

Both Sin and Chant were found with gunshot wounds.

Another man, Neng Sith, who was also present at the time of the shooting, was not struck.

Police said that Soth had been meeting with Sith in a vehicle in the parking lot. 

Chant was charged with two counts of felonious assault in connection with the shooting.

Police said on Wednesday that no additional charges immediately were filed because Chant remained in critical condition.
