School Lockdowns Lifted, Police Continue To Investigate Shootings

Two Columbus schools were locked down Wednesday morning after a shooting in the 300 block of SE Ashburton Road on the east side.

Authorities said that Eastmoor Academy and Fairmoor Elementary School were locked down from 10 a.m. until almost 11:30 a.m.

According to 10TV crews on the scene, the shooting started out of a domestic incident.

A man went to his ex-girlfriend’s house to retrieve a TV and found her with another man. A 10-month-old child also was inside of the house.

Police said that a man and woman were each shot in their arms. It was unknown which man was shot.

The baby was uninjured.

One of the shooting victims ran from the home and collapsed in front of a nearby apartment building. The other shooting victim collapsed in front of the Fairmoor Elementary.

There was a possibility a third person was also shot.

One person was transported to the hospital.

Police said the suspect fled from the scene. Police said that they continued to search for the shooter.
