Columbus Police said they want to know if two robberies in Northeast Columbus are connected.
Officers were responding to one robbery early Wednesday morning, when they encountered another robbery close by.
The first robbery took place near Cleveland Avenue and East Dublin-Granville Road shortly before 4 A.M.
The victim said he was walking through a dark church parking lot on home from Dino’s Pub, when four suspects robbed, beat and pistol-whipped him.
The suspects reportedly got away with the victim’s coat and keys.
The victim returned to Dino’s Pub where a bartender called police.
While police were on their way, they ran into another robbery about one mile away at Cleveland Avenue and Abington Road.
Officers handcuffed a couple of suspects stopped in a car and took them to police headquarters for questioning in a robbery at that intersection.
Police told 10TV the suspects will be charged.
Officers said they are trying to determine if the pair acted alone, and if they are linked to both robberies and possibly a third.
