The Mid-Ohio Foodbank is in the running for part of $3 million that Walmart has planned to give to agencies around the country which effectively deal with child hunger issues.
An online vote will decide which agencies end up splitting the money. If the central Ohio agency ends up as one of the top vote getters, it will receive a $45,000 grant.
The foodbank has indicated it will use grant money to provide food to more than 1,000 children at 26 different after-school BackPack Program sites across Central Ohio.
Anyone wishing to vote online can do so once a day through April 30. Click here to vote.
