Columbus State Community College’s Child Development Center will meet with parents of children who receive daycare at the Center on Monday.
The meetings were planned after the Center announced it would close its doors on June 15, 2013.
The meetings are scheduled to be held from 8 A.M. to 5 P.M.
The Child Development Center serves about 80 children.
Columbus State said,” The rapidly changing financial landscape in higher education compels the college to focus its financial and space resources on its core mission of helping students achieve their academic goals and addressing the region's workforce needs.”
Columbus State added that it will continue to make its Early Childhood Development academic program a priority.
The school has not yet decided what to do with the facility once the Child Development Center closes.
