The suspect in a string of Licking County car break-ins was arrested in Zanesville after a high speed chase early Friday morning.
A Buckeye Lake Police Officer said he became suspicious of 31-year-old Michael Slack after seeing him in the parking lot of the EconoLodge on Hebron Road, and started following him.
That's when the chase began. Police said the pursuit reached speeds of up to 110 mph.
Eventually, Muskingum County Sheriff's deputies joined the chase once the vehicles reached their jurisdiction.
The chase ended on I-70 eastbound in Muskingum County.
Slack eventually pulled over and surrendered to authorities.
He had two outstanding warrants for failure to appear and child support.
Authorities say they also found stolen radios and methamphetamine in his car.
Slack was charged with felony fleeing/eluding, obstruction of an officer, possession of methamphetamine, driving under suspension and reckless operation.
No injuries were reported from the chase.
