No cause has been determined in the Chillicothe industrial fire that happened earlier this week.
According to the State Fire Marshal’s Office, initial reports are that there was burning cardboard on the north side of the building. Investigators said that the findings are consistent that the burning cardboard ignited the materials in the building.
The warehouse was full of paper products when it went up in flames at about 2:30 Wednesday.
It took over a dozen fire departments to battle the blaze and fire officials said they poured over five million gallons of water on it to finally get it out. Firefighters left the scene around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.
The investigation is still ongoing.
