The Ohio State University was given a $13.5 million donation to help pay for a new sports medicine facility on campus.
The Crane family made the donation. The family owns several local companies.
University trustees plan to vote Friday to name the building the Jameson Crane Sports Medicine Institute. 87-year-old Crane was a student at OSU in the 1940's and played football for the Buckeyes.
The new building will allow the university to focus more on specific sports injuries.
It is scheduled to open on campus in 2015.
