Gas Station Employees Hold Alleged Robber At Gunpoint Until Police Arrive

A man is charged with robbery after allegedly demanding cash and threatening the use of his gun.

According to court documents, Scott D. Thomas entered the Sunoco station at 552 Norton Road on Tuesday at about 7:20 p.m. and demanded cash.

Thomas allegedly passed a note to the clerk and threatened him with a gun.

The clerk notified other employees in Arabic of the robbery. He then grabbed a gun from behind the counter and handed it to another employee, who held Thomas at gunpoint, court documents stated.

The employees were able to detain Thomas until police arrived.
