A Buckeye Valley High School music teacher is charged with two counts of sexual battery involving two female students.

According to the Delaware County Prosecutor's Office, Matthew Miller, 24, abused his position of authority when he engaged in sexual conduct with two students.

Authorities were first made aware of the allegations in March.

Miller was put on paid administrative leave and advised to not have contact with any Buckeye Valley students.

According to the Buckeye Valley School District, Miller submitted his resignation to administrators in late March. His resignation was accepted by the district's board of education.

"Miller took advantage of being a trusted educator, leader, and mentor, " said Prosecutor Carol O'Brien said. "He has since resigned his position as a vocal teacher at Buckeye Valley High School and surrendered his teaching certificate to the state of Ohio."
