Fire officials said a vehicle crashed into the Ohio Deli in south Columbus on Wednesday night.
Police said an older driver hit the gas instead of the brake and slammed into the restaurant around 8 p.m. on South High Street.
A husband and wife sitting on the outer wall of the restaurant were hit.
The wife was not injured.
The husband was taken to Grant Medical Center and is expected to be okay.
Workers were still on the scene cleaning up the damage around 11:30 p.m. on Wednesday night.
The driver's name has not been released.
Deli owners expected to be open on Thursday.
