The Columbus Blue Jackets were active dealers as the NHL trade deadline approached Wednesday afternoon.
The Jackets acquired three-time All-Star right winger Marian Gaborik from the New York Rangers.
To land Gaborik, the CBJ had to trade center Derick Brassard, right winger Derek Dorsett, defenseman John Moore, and a 6th round draft pick.
Gaborik has five 30-goal seasons on his resume.
According to the Columbus Dispatch, Gaborik will have to waive a no-trade clause in his contract.
The Jackets also traded goaltender Steve Mason to the Philadelphia Flyers. They also acquired Blake Comeau from the Calgary Flames.
