Firefighters battled flames at a Newark business on Tuesday afternoon.
According to dispatchers, the fire was reported at Action Supply, located at 1149 E. Main St.
The building was evacuated because of the fire, which started shortly after 2:30 p.m.
Flames could be seen shooting from the roof where firefighters were attempting to vent the fire.
Winds were making it difficult for firefighters to control the blaze, fire officials said.
Eleven fire departments responded to the scene of the three-alarm fire.
Fire officials said they got control of the fire at about 5:30 p.m. Crews said that an alert employee who closed a fire door helped prevent the damage from being worse.
The cause of the fire was not immediately released.
Everyone escaped the building without injury.
