Goodwill Columbus Selling Gently Used Prom Dresses To Help Central Ohioans In Need

UPDATED: Monday April 1, 2013 7:19 PM

Prom season is right around the corner.

High school girls can get a great deal on a dress while helping a good cause in Central Ohio on Saturday.

Goodwill Columbus will be selling more than 1,000 gently used prom dresses at bargain prices at its Town and Country store, located at 52 Robinwood Ave. in Whitehall, from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m.

“Our sale provides girls in central Ohio with the opportunity to achieve that perfect look for what they earn at a part-time job…for example, while babysitting,” said spokeswoman Erica Charles.

Thrift expert Lindsey Turner, author of the blog “Thrift and Shout,” will also be on hand to help young shoppers find the best dress for them.

Proceeds from the formalwear sales will provide support for Goodwill programs.
