A man was pronounced dead at the scene of a crash early Saturday.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 33-year-old Travis Tron of Marion was driving westbound on state Route 309 in Big Island Township, when he failed to negotiate a curve, traveled off the north side of the road, struck a mailbox and utility pole and rolled over.
OSP officials said that Tron was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash, which happened at about 5:30 a.m.
Tron was freed from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
