A man was charged with felonious assault after an alleged road rage incident.
According to court documents, a man was driving northbound on Gender Road when he heard the driver behind him honking his horn and making angry hand gestures.
The man continued driving north but was stopped by a traffic light at Centennial Drive.
Court documents stated that Curtiss T. Davis, who was the person allegedly honking at the man, got out of his vehicle and began punching the man’s car window, kicking the driver’s door and a started yelling at the man.
Davis returned to his vehicle and came back with a tire iron and confronted the man who tried to retreat.
Davis allegedly struck the man over the head, in the side and in the ribs with the tire iron, court document stated.
Davis then fled the scene.
According to the court, a witness wrote down Davis’ license plate number and took pictures of the plate. Other witnesses stated that Davis was the aggressor.
SWAT officers arrested Davis at his Pataskala home on Thursday, court documents stated.
Davis was being held on $75,000 bond and was ordered tos tay away from the alleged victim.
