A Columbus woman faces charged for allegedly driving drunk and assaulting an officer.
Reynoldsburg Police said an officer pulled over Helen Mekuanet, 27, on an operating a motor vehicle under the influence charge.
The officer pulled her over on East Main Street because her headlights were not turned on.
Police said Mekuanet admitted to having one shot. A field sobriety test was conducted.
Investigators said when she was asked to recite the alphabet, Mekuanet is heard on cruiser dash camera video stating "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Say that one more time?"
Mekuanet was arrested on suspicion of ovi.
Police took her to the Reynoldsburg Police station for processing and police said she assaulted an officer.
"She was not cooperative not in an aggressive manner but she just choose to make the process harder than a normal person would do and this went on for an hour," said Reynoldsburg Police Chief Jim O'Neill.
Video from inside the police station recorded the alleged assault. The officer is heard telling Mekuanet to not bite him.
Police said Mekuanet bit the officer's finger. She was charged a felony of assaulting an officer.
