Anna Crompton was someone who loved to open her blinds and let sunlight into her Sunbury home.

That was until an incident at her home Wednesday night.

"I was sitting here at my desk. I had my email up, and I saw a vision of a face," Crompton said.

The woman says she wasn’t sure it was a person because it was dark, so she got up to pull the blinds when she noticed her neighbor pulling into the driveway.

“And as my neighbor pulled into her driveway, she saw him standing there,” Crompton said, ”And he still hadn't moved, so she backed up and shined her lights on him."

Crompton says that's when she looked the man in the eye and realized she had seen him before.

She says last week, the man did the same thing. Crompton says it happened when there was snow on the ground and she was able to trace footprints coming from a wooden area behind her home right up to the sliding doors on her patio.

"He came up to the door and it looked like he lingered for a while and left some footprints in the snow,” Crompton said. “Then he went this way and came over to the other window."

Crompton says that first time she thought it was harmless.

Now, she's not so sure.

Neither are police after they say someone peered into the window of another home Wednesday night not too far from Crompton’s

"It's possible it could be the same person, it is within walking distance," said Sunbury Police Chief Patrick Bennett.

Bennett says his department wants to get the word out there so that people are aware and protect themselves.
