Police said they took several reports of a young boy found wandering alone in Lancaster on Tuesday, according to the Lancaster Eagle Gazette.
The paper reported that a woman stopped when she saw the boy at about 5:15 p.m. and took the boy to the Main Street Jail.
The boy told officers that he left his home along East Locust Street to walk to his grandmother's house on Lake Street.
According to the paper, the boy told police that his stepfather was home sleeping when he left He then said his stepfather let him leave the house.
Children Services was contacted.
