Family Safe After South Columbus Fire

Five people, including two children, were displaced Thursday morning after a house fire.

The fire started around 2 a.m. on Oakwood Avenue in south Columbus.

Firefighters tell 10TV the fire may have started in the kitchen.

The family said they had the oven on to keep warm.

Two dogs on the second floor of the home were killed.

The Red Cross was called in to help the family overnight.
