Athens Investigators Seek Information In 2 Violent Crimes

Athens County Crime Solvers is offering a reward for information about two violent crimes from earlier this year.

On February 26 around 11:30 p.m., two men allegedly barged into a home at 73 Franklin Avenue and pointed a gun at the residents. The suspects forced two victims into a closet while holding another two at gunpoint during the robbery.

On February 19, Ohio University Police said a man tried to rob a woman at knifepoint while she was walking on Edgehill near Lincoln Hall. The victim refused and the suspect fled the scene.

Athens County Crime Solvers Anonymous is offering a $2,000 reward for information on either of these crimes that leads to an indictment or conviction. The number to call is 740-594-3331.
