Your Doppler 10 Forecast
This Morning: Partly to mostly clear.
This Afternoon: Partly cloudy and milder. High 45
Tonight: Increasing clouds. Low 27
Sunday: WINTER STORM WATCH for counties north and west of Columbus for snow beginning late morning/early afternoon. Rain could mix with snow showers in the afternoon and evening. High 36.
Enjoy the quiet start to the weekend because big changes are headed our way Sunday! We’ll see partly to mostly sunny skies today with highs ranging from the low 40s north of Columbus to the upper 40s in the south. Look for an increase in clouds tonight ahead of a storm system that will bring snow and a wintry mix on Sunday.
A mixture of rain, snow and sleet will begin affecting central Ohio late Sunday morning and will overspread the region through the day. The precipitation will begin changing over to all snow in the afternoon and evening starting in northwest Ohio. While we could see some accumulating snowfall during the day Sunday, it appears the heaviest snow and most accumulation will hold off until Sunday night, leading to the potential for some slick roads for the Monday morning commute. Much of central Ohio could see 2 to 4 inches with 4 to 8 inches possible north and northwest of Columbus. The snow will gradually taper off through the day Monday. Remember, the exact track and timing of this storm will have a huge impact on precipitation types and snow totals. Stay up-to-date with the forecast!
Alerts: WINTER STORM WATCH Sunday morning through Monday afternoon for Hardin, Logan, Union, Champaign, Clark, Madison, Delaware and Fayette counties. More counties could be added to the watch.
Inconvenient Weather: A wintry mix changing to snow is likely Sunday and Sunday night.
Planning Your Day: We’ll be partly to mostly sunny today with highs in the mid 40s today.
