A teacher entered a not-guilty plea to an assault charge this week.

ccording to court records, Heidi Lovensheimer entered the plea in court on Thursday.

Lovensheimer, 46, is charged with assault after a student reported that he was scratched by her two weeks ago.

The alleged incident occurred at Adena Elementary School in Frankfort.

Brayden Baker said that his teacher scratched him while scolding him for not paying attention.

Baker admits that he was talking to a classmate when his teacher reprimanded him, but his family said that there was no justification for how his teacher allegedly responded.
