The Fayette County Sheriff's Office says that new information is compelling them to change the name of the driver of a vehicle that was involved in a crash that killed three people and injured four others in 2007.
During the original investigation into the crash, the driver of the car was identified as 16-year-old Megan Cave.
The sole survivor of the crash, Jessika Houser, was the person that named Cave the driver.
Houser was injured in the crash and has refused interview attempts, according to the Fayette County Sheriff's Office.
According to a news release, investigators said that information provided to them prompted a review the report.
A team of authorities from various county agencies conducted another investigation and decided to amend the report to say that Houser was the driver.
According to the new report, officials now believe that Cave was a passenger in the front seat.
The sheriff's office did not say if they plan to file charges due to the new information.
