Blendon Township police are investigating a series of thefts that occurred as parents walked their kids into schools and day cares.

The thieves struck while the parents' vehicles were unattended. The suspects stole purses from the vehicles and immediate used the credit cards at local stores.

The crimes occurred during the last two weeks of January.

Investigators said the locations included the parking lot of Wilder Elementary School on Goldfinch Drive, The Goddard School on Executive Parkway, Le Petite Day Care on Valley Quail Boulevard, Kinder Care on Sunbury Road, and Kinder Care in Gahanna.

Store surveillance video captured people using the stolen credit cards after the crimes.
