The Union County Health Department and the AIDS Taskforce are sponsoring free STD/HIV testing for members of the community.
The testing will be held on March 28 from noon to 6 p.m. at the Union County Services Building on London Avenue.
The Get Yourself Tested (GYT) campaign is an effort to increase the awareness of STD testing.
Officials said the HIV testing is painless and results are available in around 20 minutes.
Health experts also said that chlamydia is the number one reportable disease in Union County. That's also true for the rest of Ohio.
"Sexually Transmitted Infections are prevalent in almost every community in our nation. And to protect you and your partner, it is important you both know your status," said Susie Knox, lead nurse for the County Health Department's Sexual Health Clinic.
