Arrest Warrant Issued For Man Accused Of Crashing Into Lakewood High School Football Field, Fleeing

Police are searching for a man who fled police, prompting the closure of the Lakewood Local Schools on Wednesday.

According to police, Nicholas S. Graves was driving a 2002 Chevrolet Blazer with Ohio license No. FPN-9602 at about 2 a.m. on Wednesday, when police tried to stop him for allegedly driving over the speed limit and crossing the center line. Police said that Graves was driving with a male passenger.

Police tried to stop Graves, 25, who then started to accelerate to approximately 90 mph near Lakewood High School.

Graves tried to turn into the school’s parking lot and crashed through a chain link fence at the football field, according to the warrant.

The two men in the Blazer ran from the crash.

Anyone with information about Graves’ whereabouts is asked to call police.

Graves is charged with felony fleeing.
