A bus driver who was arrested for allegedly driving while drunk was suspended from the Dublin City School District on Tuesday.

According to school officials, driver Stacy Marcum was arrested in December on an OVI charge.

The OVI charge was changed to a physical control charge, to which she pleaded no contest.

Officials said that they had started the process of terminating Marcum.

Police records indicate that Marcum was in her personal vehicle and failed to stop when officers tried to pull her over on Bethel Road. Officers followed her into an apartment complex where she failed field sobriety tests, according to police.

According to Marcum's attorney, the district held a hearing with her on Jan. 14 and ruled that she could still drive school buses as long as her driver's license was valid.

But the Ohio Department of Education told 10TV that, on Tuesday, they suspended her certificate which is issued by the Ohio Department of Education's Pupil Transportation Office.

She cannot drive a bus without it. The department said that it had been suspended after the charges and then reinstated.
