A jury reached a verdict on two of the five charges for a man accused of rape and molesting children.

According to the Athens County Prosecutor's Office, Thomas Shifflet, 76, of Glouster, was found guilty on one count of gross sexual imposition.

The jury found Shifflet not guilty on one count of sexual imposition.

The prosecutor said that the jury did not reach a verdict in one count of rape and two other counts of gross sexual imposition.

Shifflet was charged after alleged incidents that took place at a daycare center run by his daughters.

Investigators said Shifflet reportedly groped at least four children. Several children testified against Shifflet during the trial.
