A medical helicopter was called to the scene of a reported explosion in Fayette County on Saturday afternoon.
According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, an explosion was reported at Barker’s Towing, located along state Route 41 near Jeffersonville, around noon.
According to organizers of a vigil scheduled for Saturday night, Virgil Barker, the owner of Barker's Towing and Tire Shop, was injured in the explosion.
The details surrounding the explosion were not immediately released.
