Low clouds and fog will persist overnight with colder temperatures. Overnight lows will drop back into the upper 20's. Skies will remain mostly cloudy on St. Patrick's Day with a chance for snow or a mix developing late in the day mainly south of I-70. Some heavier snow will be possible across southern Ohio through Sunday evening with accumulations of 1 to 3 inches possible by Sunday night. Sunday's highs will hold in the mid to upper 30's.
A frontal boundary which has been stalled just south of the Ohio River will return northward late Sunday night and spread more precipitation into the state. A mix of rain and snow will be possible Sunday night into central Ohio before changing to all rain by Monday morning. Some light snow accumulation will be possible. Rain will linger through Monday afternoon with the threat for a few thunderstorms possible as temperatures soar to near 50 degrees by late in the day. Colder air will return Tuesday with clearing skies.

Inconvenient Weather: Patchy areas of fog and drizzle will be possible overnight. However, visibility should not be a problem. Snow will spread into southern Ohio through the late morning into the early afternoon Sunday. The snow could be heavy at times with 1-3" of snow possible south of a line from Washington Court House to Athens by Sunday night. Light snow could spread into central Ohio late Sunday night before precipitation changes to rain early Monday morning.
