A central Ohio woman was convicted for child endangering and will now spend six years in prison.

Tabitha Raver of Mount Vernon was sentenced on Friday.

She was accused of failing to protect her son and three other children in August from her boyfriend.

Her boyfriend, David Ray Scott Jr., is charged with murder in connection with the death of 4-year-old Kendrick Breece.

Mount Vernon police said that they received an emergency call on Aug. 12 about an unresponsive boy.

The 4-year-old was taken to Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, where investigators said that the boy died.

According to a 911 call placed by the boy's mother, the boy fell down a set of stairs the day before.
