A Lewis Center man was locked up on Friday after being accused of hitting his son in the face and head numerous times.
Derrick Johnston is accused of hitting his 2-year-old son and causing injuries that forced him to be hospitalized on March 4.
A Grand Jury indicted Johnson on felonious assault, child endangering and domestic violence charges.
He was being held in jail on $35,000 bond on Friday.
