Police said a man robbed the Fifth Third Bank center in Downtown Columbus Thursday afternoon.

The suspect struck just before noon on Thursday at the center located at 21 E. State St.

The man was described as a white male, 5 foot 8 inches tall, in his 50s with gray hair sticking out from under a hat. He was wearing a jacket with a hood, jeans and gold-rimmed glasses.

Authorities say the man may have been involved in another bank robbery in February at a bank on North Wilson Road.

Police did not say if the suspect displayed a weapon or indicate how much he took.
