A former employee of the Fayette County Memorial Hospital is accused of embezzling from the hospital over the past several years.
Kimberly A. Crabtree, 56, has been indicted on theft in office, tampering with records, and tampering with evidence, according to the sheriff's office.
Crabtree allegedly issued checks to herself for almost $20,000. They were discovered in an internal audit, according to the Washington Court House Record.
The hospital told the newspaper that Crabtree had worked at the facility as an accountant for 23 years.
